The Resolution of Callie and Kayden The Coincidence Book 6 eBook Jessica Sorensen

I fell in love with this series during book one. It was epic and interesting and unlike most romance novels that are filled with sappy and unnecessary quotes. There was an actual storyline that never slowed down. It kept you constantly on the edge of your seat. I've reread it at least three times, sometimes I even get it read within a couple of hours just because it's such a good read.

Then I read the second book. It was decent. It fell short of my towering expectations just because I loved the first book so much. However it was still worth the read because there was a storyline, things happened. Callie finally told her parents about Caleb and Kayden told someone about his parents, even getting himself into therapy. In the end, we find out that Caleb didn't only rape Callie, but Luke's sister. Such a cliffhanger!

Then we get to this story. I waited for six months for this conclusion. I had hoped more information about Luke's sister's involvement with Caleb would be discussed, like the second book's hangover left us waiting for. Then we also had the strangeness of his mother, which was heavily h inted at in the first and second book. Neither of those points were brought up and I think Luke was maybe mentioned twice. I'm aware he has his own book now but he played such an important character in this series so for Sorensen to just not even talk about the huge cliffhanger at the end of the previous book was extremely frustrating. Especially since that would have at least been a storyline for the book. Nothing happens. Half the book is actually just Sorensen filling you in on what's happened in the previous books. We know the backstory. This is the third book. If people are confused they should read the first two. Secondly, Kayden has a pity party for himself the whole first 80% of the book. Callie, who is a completely different person and seems to be a completely flat character now, doesn't change or grow at all, does all of these completly irrelevant and sappy things for Kayden and the best he can come up with is to glue the list to the roof of a slide. When he wasn't being an idiot or throwing a pity party, he was a sap machine, which isn't much like his character. Absolutely nothing happened in this book that couldn't have occurred in a chapter or two, instead of 25.

I was extremely disappointed with this book and was pretty bored the whole time. It was either them saying things 15 year old couples say to each other or having sex. The writing seemed to have regressed as well. The sentences were choppy.

The Resolution of Callie and Kayden The Coincidence Book 6 eBook Jessica Sorensen Reviews

Yet another AMAZING novel by Jessica Sorensen, I swear that this woman doesn't know how to write poorly! I cannot tell you all how relieved I was for Kayden in this novel and how proud I felt for Callie for what she did over Thanksgiving break, I have read this entire series and feel as if I have known Sorensen's characters my whole life, and although this book seemed a bit short for my liking (I read it in about two hours) it covered all the bases. This book was definately all about the various resolutions that Callie and Kayden so desperately needed, and they finally got to close the book on a lot of things.

It has been a long, tortured and painful road for Callie and Kayden and as you begin each book in this series you are reminded of the fact that it will be a constant battle for them to fight back all of the emotional and physical scars they bare. Every time I read anything by Sorensen I am effected by the emotion and struggle on every page, she captures the pain, fear, loss and hope of every situation so well I can't help but feel it.

These two characters have come a very long way since the first chapter in book one "The Coincidence" and Sorensen has us relive their highlights in this book as Callie and Kayden take a walk down memory lane and visit all the places that meant the most to them since the day they bumped into each other on the college lawn. While doing this you get to see how far they have come in their relationship and in their healing and you can feel the inner strength they have and the strength of the bond between them. Throughout this book Callie is writing a book of her own and they way she tells her special version of their story is amazing and heartfelt.

I just can not express enough how amazing this whole series has been and how emotional it has made me every time I read it, and how chocked up I am getting right now about seeing it come to an end. I hope that anyone reading this and hasn't read this series goes out and does so now, it is an amazing, heartbreaking and haunting story of hope and love.
I loved this series even thou it broke my heart, Callie and Kayden, these two beautiful, broken characters, that left my heart on my sleeve..Callie and Kayden who childhood was taken from them..In the final book of this amazing but traumatic story, it centered around healing, moving forward, facing their demon, closure and acceptance and what the future will lead them...The love between Callie and Kayden was strong, love how Callie help Kayden and hold on to dear life, when it came to his demons, love how Callie, fought back and confronted, the man who stole her childhood...I have read my share of story when it comes to bad parenting, Kayden parent won hand down...Kayden father was a monster born from pure evil but my loathing goes to Kayden mother, how she sold her children for 30 piece of silver, how she look away, while Kayden father, psychological, physical assault and emotionally verbal abuse, all of her 3 son's..Kayden mother was a heartless woman, who I hated more than the evil himself..Monsters weren't hiding under the bed, there were in plain sight in the form of mom and dad...Ms. Jessica Sorensen took me to another rollercoaster ride fill with so many emotions, she didn't leave me with a happy fairy tail ending but still left it with a happy ending...Kayden and Callie accepting with what happened to them and also deciding to gave closure and more forward, with the help of friends and family who love them and getting help from professional counselor and Kayden breaking the cycle of violence he and his brothers were born into...This story was full of pain but also about hope and love...I highly recommend this amazing storytelling, "The Coincidence series by Jessica Sorensen" and make sure you have a box of tissues beside you...
